IMPORTANT! Please make sure your name appears correctly here:

The names on the Acknowledgments pages are mostly a text dump from the BackerKit survey, but there are some stylistic adjustments (no all caps, sorry) and things like that.

PLEASE take a minute to confirm that your name appears correctly within the next few days — especially if you have an accent or something in your name. I am hoping to send the files to the printer in the next TWO WEEKS.

For those of you who are curious, I'm aiming for an official publication date of June 14th for Book Three at this time. Hopefully, the printer's proof stage will not be too bad, and I'll be able to get most or even all of the Kickstarter books shipped before then. (Books/packages with sketches and other hand-drawn rewards take a little longer, and there are a lot of them.)

If your name IS NOT correct, please contact me by leaving a comment below.

Multiplex Movie Review: It Follows (2014)
about 7 years ago – Sun, Feb 05, 2017 at 07:14:32 PM

I took a quick break from proofreading Book Three. I think I may have accidentally done one that a backer didn't request…? Oops.

Anyway, after Book Three is all set and ready for the proofreaders in the next couple of days, the next item of business is the rewards. First up, I'll have some more movie reviews and the movie poster parody. Then I have a hand-drawn comic, I think…? I'm not sure. I have a spreadsheet somewhere. Anyway! More stuff will get posted this week!

Where the magic happens now. (My new office/studio space in Somerville.)

Hello again. One year ago, Multiplex: The Revenge was successfully funded on Kickstarter. Thank you again for your confidence and support with this book!

I'm back, sadly, with another frustrating update. While I've pretty much settled into Somerville, the previously-mentioned very large and very deadline-driven freelance project that is basically financing the next few months of my life (after I finish it in… about a month), got bigger. Meaning the already scant amounts of free time I had to work on Book Three disappeared. Books One and Two also had delays, as well, but they DID get fulfilled completely, so please feel assured that I'm not ghosting on Multiplex: The Revenge!

I will, however, unfortunately be missing the September 2016 publication date that I'd originally targeted. I don't want to make promises I can't keep, so I won't say when the new publication is until I actually have some idea of when that will be — but suffice it to say, it will be as close as possible to the original planned publication date.

The freelance project, by the way, is a series of animated food safety videos for an organization back in Minnesota. Hopefully I'll be able to share those with you. They're a bit rough (I'm not really an animator; I'm a "visual storyteller," as I like to put it), but it's great experience that will help immeasurably with the Multiplex animated project I'll be working on after Book Three is completed (and probably after the regular webcomic ends in… roughly six months).

(Short) Delay of Game…

Between the Denver Comic Con trip, preparing for moving to Somerville, the impending move itself, and a very large and very deadline-driven freelance project, I've had to pause work Multiplex: The Revenge for the time being.

It's safe to say, at this point, that the book will be at least a couple of months later than the estimated September 2016 date, but the freelance project was too big to turn down — and (some of) the money from that will get diverted into Multiplex-related projects over the next few months, as well.

I tried to build enough time into the schedule to avoid any delays, but… a lot of things happened, I guess. I overcommitted during the spring semester, underestimated the complexity of the Watchmen arc, and a number of other things.

I will try to start posting more from Book Three (either the Watchmen arc or some of the other bits of new art/comics scattered around the book) as soon as possible!
